Palmira buys new DHL building near Graz
Frankfurt, 15 July 2016 – Palmira Capital Partners (Palmira), the investment manager specialising in European logistics property has purchased a new Deutsche Post DHL building in the Cargo Center Graz (CCG) for its pan-European logistics fund Palmira Logistik Europa Fonds 1. The vendor is CCG Nord Projektentwicklung GmbH & Co KG, a joint venture by UBM Development AG and CCG KG.
Palmira's legal consultant was Eisenberger & Herzog; the technical advisers were Drees & Sommer and environmental advice was provided by Ambiente.
The property, situated in Werndorf, 15 km south of Graz and 6 km from Graz Airport, is a so-called "MechZB", a DHL mechanical distribution centre. Situated on an around 59,800 sq m site, the building has a lettable area of 10,701 sq m. It comprises 9,644 sq m of warehouse space and 1,057 sq m of office and staff accommodation. There is also 25,000 sq m of external circulation space.
After it is completed in September 2016, the long-term tenant of the building will be DHL Paket (Austria), a subsidiary of the Deutsche Post DHL group.
