Former Prologis Senior Executive to join Palmira European Advisory Board
PALMIRA CAPITAL PARTNERS, the Frankfurt based investment and asset manager of industrial real estate, has announced that, effective from 1 March 2014, it has appointed Ranald Hahn, a former senior executive at Prologis, as a member of its newly installed European Advisory Board (EAB).
The EAB serves as an independent non-executive council to Palmira Capital Partners and aims to provide frequent advice on the company's European expansion. In his new role, Ranald will advise the company on the further growth of its investment and asset management activities in France, Italy and Spain.
"With Ranald we are delighted to have an industry expert with tremendous logistics deal experience on board. We are convinced that he will add great knowledge and strength to what eventually will become our European Palmira organization. Palmira currently plans to establish local presence in main distribution markets across Continental Europe in order to accommodate the needs of its growing investor base," said Alexander Hoff, Palmira's founder and managing partner.
"The appointment of Ranald underpins our ability to work together with outstanding logistics real estate experts. Ranald has a proven track-record in logistics real estate in southern Europe on which we can bank in order to generate new business," added Peter Schuijlenburg, a partner with the company who is managing its European expansion.
Ranald Hahn served as Managing Director and Regional Head Southern Europe of US-Industrial REIT Prologis from 1998 to 2012. During this period he led and implemented the company's roll-out and subsequent growth in France, Spain and Italy. Under his leadership Prologis grew its southern European portfolio from zero to more than 2€bn.
